Biography
Dr. Rebecca Warburton is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with 33 years of in the field experience. She provides Evidence-Based-Treatment to a diverse population of people with an array of clinical presentations and needs, including severe depression and suicidality, anxiety and chronic stress, OCD, personality disorders, ADHD, trauma, adjustment disorders, grief and loss, relationship issues, anger management, and day-to-day emotional, social, and behavioral problems. Rebecca treats adolescents through the lifespan. Dr Warburton has a deep understanding of the importance of listening to her patients to ensure they receive excellent ethical care in a professional manner. Her clinical style combines active listening, deep empathy, and collaborative problem-solving to ensure effective person-centered treatment. She uses a variety of clinical techniques that pull from a broad set of modalities including Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, CBT, DBT, ERP ACT, IFS, MI, psychoeducation, and supportive psychotherapy. She believes in each person’s resiliency, self-determination, and ability to heal. Dr. Warburton received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. Prior to joining Merrimack Valley Psychological Associates, Dr. Warburton worked in inpatient, outpatient, and IOP settings. She also worked for a local crisis center and college counseling center, and ran her own private practice.
