Biography
I am a mental health counselor with experience working primarily with children and adolescents, and a strong interest in supporting teenagers and young adults as well. I believe therapy is most meaningful when it is grounded in safety, trust, and genuine therapeutic connection. My approach is person-centered and tailored to each individual’s unique needs, strengths, and treatment goals, with the understanding that no two clients experience the world in exactly the same way. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and developmentally attuned space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to grow.
In my work, I often incorporate symbolic and expressive approaches to therapy, including art-based, creative, and narrative interventions, as these can offer meaningful ways to explore emotions, experiences, and identity. I draw from DIR/Floortime, play therapy, CBT, DBT, and person-centered approaches, allowing me to adapt treatment in ways that are flexible, collaborative, and individualized. I value helping clients deepen emotional understanding, strengthen coping skills, build resilience, and develop a stronger sense of self.
I also value collaborating with caregivers through parent support sessions, recognizing that meaningful progress is often strengthened when the important adults in a child’s life feel supported and involved.
In addition to my clinical work, my background includes case management with unhoused older adults in a community mental health setting, along with research experience focused on youth mental health, treatment approaches, and developmental processes. These experiences have broadened my understanding of how emotional well-being is shaped across the lifespan and continue to inform the thoughtful, individualized care I provide.
My goal is to help each client feel more connected to themselves, more supported in their relationships, and more confident in their capacity for growth and healing.
