Biography
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with an extensive background treating a variety of populations with mental health disorders including addiction. I have worked in a variety of settings including adolescent residential, day program for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, psychiatric inpatient, domestic violence shelter, and most notably, 18 years at a psychiatric day treatment program for adults with chronic mental illness. It was a privilege to serve as the program’s director for the last 13 years.
My experience has taught me of the resiliency of people and the power of change. I have extensive knowledge and experience working with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and anger. My style is to walk alongside a person as they travel their path to wellness. I believe that everyone’s life story has merit and brings us to who we are today. I have a holistic approach with a specialty in CBT, DBT, and CPT.
