Biography

I am a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in working with adolescents, college students, and adults. I have specialized in treating a variety of emotional, behavioral, and mental health disorders, such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, health complications, phase of life, and stress-related issues. I also have a particular interest in working with people who have been diagnosed with chronic diseases such as Type I Diabetes.

Throughout the counseling process, I use evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) supported by a person-centered, humanistic approach. Ultimately, I determine what interventions and techniques I utilize based upon the needs of my patients. Each patient is an individual, that requires a clinician that can meet them where they are in their therapeutic process. It is my goal to support them while guiding them toward the goals they wish to achieve in therapy and beyond.

Finding a clinician that fits your needs is important and I encourage feedback to better provide treatment. Through this collaborative approach, people will use their personal strengths, develop tools to reach their goals.

I believe therapy is a personal experience and works best when the therapist and client are working collaboratively to create and accomplish goals. Counseling can be beneficial to process life events and stressors, as well as a way to promote self-discovery and growth.
